Freelance Web Project: Millenia Energy

Millenia Energy's website is a freelance project I took up during summer 2023. I took up this project as a way to learn full stack development and deployment using AWS.

For this project, my task was to develop and deploy a user-friendly static website for a solar start-up. For this website, I decided to use Gatsby JS and AWS, while also integrating Google Sheets and Drive APIs for effortless content updates by my client. For deployment, I used AWS Amplify, Lambda and API Gateway. These services allowed me to ensure scalability and cost effectiveness for the client's online presence. In addition to development and deployment, I also made use of other AWS services like AWS Workmail and AWS Route 53 to create a custom domain and custom email for the client.

Other than development, as I was a freelance contractor, I also had to assume a versatile role by contributing to content copywriting and some aspects of design. As someone who has knowledge in website design fundamentals, I had to deliver a cohesive website coupled with compelling messaging and visuals that aligned with the client's brand identity. This was achieved by the facilitation of effective communication with my client through multiple meetings. Ultimately, I was able to establish a clear understanding of the project requirements, allowing me to translate them into actionable development tasks.
